Frequently Asked Questions
French is spoken by more than 220 million people and is, after English, the most learned language in the world.
Learning to speak and understand it will give you access to the worlds of fashion, gastronomy, arts, architecture and science. It is also the language of international relations, being the official working language of all major international organizations such as the United Nations, the European Union, UNESCO, NATO, the International Olympic Committee, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the international tribunals.
Online French courses have many advantages: learn where you want, learn when you want, the courses are cheaper and they are adapted to your needs.
The atmosphere is much less academic and more interactive, which gives you more motivation and desire to learn at your own pace.
But above all, taking distance learning courses saves you a lot of time and energy.
There are no bus, subway or car trips, no more traffic jams, no more delays…
We eliminate as much effort as possible and the unexpected: you just have to turn on your computer and settle down comfortably at home to start.
Sure you can! The first hour of class is offered with the first reservation. After this one hour class with me, you can determine if it’s right for you or not and decide to stop or continue the next month.
Absolutely! The conversation groups are adapted to your level.
Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced student, my French classes will allow you to progress according to your level.
Each student must pay in advance for the month, according to the courses they choose to take.
Each month started is due and no refund is possible.
For example, if your last payment was made on April 7, you will be able to take the courses you have already paid for until May 6.
If you do not wish to continue the course, you are not obliged to pay for new courses the following month.
If you don’t have much free time, I will do my best to find a time that works for you. There may be classes already scheduled at the time you are available. But don’t worry: I will take your request into account and we will find a time when you are free to book a class.
If you don’t know your level of French or if you are not sure, I suggest you to take a test to define your level of French.
The first hour of class is the perfect opportunity to discuss this together.
Over time, the more passionate you become about French, the less important your level will be. The most important thing is to have fun! Your level will improve naturally and with much less effort.
This depends on many aspects, such as your native language.
The earlier you learn a language, the more natural and easy it becomes to learn.
Then it’s all about methods.
It has been proven that French is the easiest language for English speakers to learn. Although English is a Germanic language and French is a Latin language, there are over 20,000 English words with French origins.
French is a language with many exceptions and rules that are sometimes very… French! But this language also reflects the whole French culture, its people and its history. One of the secrets to making rapid progress is to immerse yourself in the culture of the country.
But I also know many strategies that allow my students to progress quickly in French.
The courses will take place on Zoom or on Skype. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to use them yet: I’ll help you from the beginning so that you learn little by little to be comfortable with these videoconference platforms.
My students are very happy with the progress they make by participating in my classes.
However, your results will also depend on your work. If you don’t use the content of my courses, you won’t improve.
What I can guarantee is that you will get very useful and valuable lessons to improve your French.
I know that many people have very busy days these days.
The good news is that to learn French, you don’t need to have a lot of time on your hands.
What you do need is good organization! You always find time for the things you love.
